Kate Upton

Kate Upton is the hottest, new model.  Even the New York Times did a story on her.  But the reason she interests me, and the Times for that matter, is that she defied the modeling industry.  She “auditioned” as model on YouTube, not at Ford Models or Elite.  In fact, she probably wouldn’t have been chosen by the big agencies given her body shape and height.  But she became a sensation because the people, the viewers of YouTube, liked her!  YouTube isn’t just a forum for Kate to express herself, it’s an agent of change, setting new standards and norms that are changing culture, industries and lives.  Yay for YouTube!
